Nice to meet you!
My name is Mandy Andrews. I live with my husband and our 2 little girls in Lebanon, Oregon.
I am a Madriella certified Doula with training in the use of the Rebozo for labor from Gena Kirby.
I started my doula journey shortly after the birth of my second child. I self-trained for a year and started attending births. In May of 2013 I officially became a certified doula. I have also been offering emotional and informational doula support to an online community of pregnant women since 2010.
I am fun loving and lighthearted. I don't like to take myself too seriously. Sleep is my favorite hobby. I enjoy working on projects around the house with my husband and I dabble in sewing occasionally. I have a passion for serving single women and those who might not otherwise have support .I also really enjoy working with couples to help them come together as a team for the birth of their baby.
It is important to me that you really get to know my personality. The best way I can think of to accomplish that is to have my husband tell you about me. So, if you were to ask my husband what I'm like, this is what he would tell you:
"Mandy is thoughtful and passionate about things that are close to her. She is a hard worker who wants to get in and get things done. When she commits to a project or an idea she goes with focus and determination to do a good job.
She has a high attention to detail. She regularly catches and remembers the little things that others would forget. If you tell her you want something done a certain way she will do her best to meet your expectations.
She is loving and loyal. She sticks with her friends and family even in the toughest of times. She values the right decision over the easy decision. She tries to be direct, but not pushy. And she isn't TOO crunchy."
