Testimonials
I had my sweet baby girl last week at the Newport Hospital, and wanted to thank and give Mandy Andrews and Chris McBride a shout out to how amazing they made labor for me! If it weren't for them, It probably would have went a lot differently. They supported my birth plan, while making sure I was comfortable, and took care of me and my significant other. I was nervous as to how labor was going to go, but they did such a wonderful job, helping me get through each contraction that i wasn't even worried anymore. Thank you ladies for making my first time giving birth, one of best days of my entire life. :)

Mandy Andrews worked with me as one of my doula's through my labor and delivery.
At first I was somewhat hesitant to meet with a doula because quite frankly I had no idea what a doula was and I had no idea what they did. After having my first meeting and getting an incredible prenatal massage, and getting a perspective on what a doula was, I realized how comfortable I was around Mandy. I definitely knew I wanted her to be there for my birth. Mandy is a phenomenal person inside and out who is so unbelievably passionate about being a doula. She talks to you about how you want your labor to go and what sort of things you would like to try doing to keep yourself occupied. She is extremely kind, a very calm person and has so many different things that you can try doing while you are in labor.
I was extremely overdue with my pregnancy (17 days overdue to be exact). I felt like my son was never going to come out. My main goal was to not be induced, I felt that babies are smart and will come when they are ready. So I waited it out in the hospital while trying several different things with Mandy. Stretching, walking, massages, rotating my hips on the exercise ball. Not that much was happening, so I finally gave in and got my labor going with pitocin. Once I was in full on active labor, whoa things were intense! However Mandy was my saving grace during labor! I am telling you she was by my side the whole time with a cold wet rag on my forehead, coaching me with breathing, helping me stay as relaxed as I could be. After pushing for a little over 4 hours my beautiful baby boy arrived and it could not have been more special. I was and still am absolutely blessed.
Mandy is an incredible doula. I truly believe my labor would not have gone as smoothly if she was not there. I recommend her to everyone that is having a baby, she is truly something!"

"★★★★★ Without Mandy my birth would have been much scarier! It was my 1st pregnancy and the father was unable to provide support. I had no (for sure) friends or family available for pre or post labor. She was kind and knowledgeable. She helped me understand what I needed to think about and helped me comprise a birth plan. She was great! Helped me communicate with the nurses, took pictures (which was important to me) , helped me in and out of the tub, held my hand, coached me, made sure I kept up on fluids. I was basically blacked out from the pain, but I knew I was in good hands. My little girl is 2months old today and we're so glad Mandy is part of our birth story! Thanx amillion Mandy/TLC Doula Service!"

"Having a doula present during labor and delivery, especially in a hospital setting, really provided a peace of mind that is invaluable. I felt so relaxed and even powerful during labor and I was so proud of myself for being able to be more mentally present this time. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, and you'll be my go-to doula again any day. You were amazing!"

"I had the incredible opportunity to work with another local Certified Doula. Mandy Andrews of TLC Doula Service is a gifted woman and I look forward to working with her more in the future!"
